Objects, landscapes, infrastructures
Riga Pasaules Film Festival 2016 theme is Sites of Imagination. The films selected for the programme offer the opportunity to see how audiovisual techniques can be used in different ways to talk about objects, landscapes, infrastructures, environment. Each film screening will be followed by Q&A session with filmmakers.
This year's edition will have a special section dedicated to a retrospective of filmmaker Toni de Bromhead, who has been making ethnographic films for more than forty years and half of that time has been working first in Florence and then in Sicily. She also works as a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths University in London. The retrospective will be devided in two parts – early works and the films shot in Sicily.
