How I Stopped Being Depressed by Documentaries
The RPFF 2018 programme will explore the role of comedy and humour in documentary storytelling, film subjects that are humorous, witty, and life affirming and are, subsequently, empowered by comedic strategies. The title of the festival this year is "Comic Intent or How I Stopped Being Depressed by Documentaries and Learned to Laugh at Life." Film screenings will be followed by Q&A sessions with filmmakers.
Special guest of the festival this year is Astra Film Festival in Romania and its founders and organisers Dumitru Budrala and Csilla Kato. Astra Film will bring a programme of Romanian documentary film of recent years as well as near-classics.
The festival is held at the art-house cinema “Kino Bize” and "K.Suns".
