Delphine's Prayers

Through the lens of friendship, we are discovering the life story of Delphine, her radical choices motivated by love and responsibility, her courage and strength in face of adversity. The filmmaker allows the protagonist to grow as a captivating storyteller, without resorting to attractive cinema artifices. It is filmmaking from the position of love: dedicated the whole space of the film to the protagonist and her dignity.

This film is the portrait of Delphine, a young Cameroonian girl. Like others, she belongs to the generation of young African women crushed by the patriarchal societies and abandoned to Western sexual colonization as her only means of survival. Through her courage and strength, she exposes these patterns of domination that continue to lock up African women.
