PROGRAMME

THE STATION
Aiden Hurley, USA, 10min.
A teenage boy and an outlaw find themselves on an abandoned steam  train and discover that one of them does not belong there.

PENTACLUB
Roberto Strazzarino, IT, 20min.
The year is 1968. Five teenage boys dream of running a movie theater in  which they will not show pro-war films.  One summer afternoon Giò, Delfo, Max, Ricky and Paolo learn to become  trusted friends, indispensable to one another.  A coming-of-age, adventure film about friendship, one with small but large rebellious acts that signal the end of childhood and the beginning of  adulthood. A group of friends, who met in the 1960s, was essential to the film’s  production. In fact, the production design and costume departments were  entrusted by the director to lifelong friends with whom he shared his early  experiments with 8mm film whilst the screenplay was written by the director  and his wife. Therefore, Pentaclub is a film about friendship, both on the  screen and behind the scenes. Other departments were handled by  professionals.

A PINCH OF HONEY
Laura Castelo, ES, 20min.
The comical short film "Christmas Day" tells the story of a strong bond  between Pia and her grandfather. The story takes place within the familiar  Christmas hustle and bustle, complete with stressful gift wrapping, ear piercing children's squeals, and a traditionally comical family Christmas  dinner. Amidst all the chaos, Pia finds herself in a moment of a different  reality, through which she manages to regain her Christmas joy and gets a reminder of how much we need our family's warmth and acceptance in  good and bad times.

TRACES OF ROCCO
Marina Resta, IT, 17min.
Traces of Rocco is a journey across the Basilicata of the past and of the  present, in search of the iconographical and metaphorical traces of the  Southern Italian poet, social researcher and politician Rocco Scotellaro.  Developed as part of Zavattini Prize 2018/2019, it's a documentary short film that juxtaposes heterogeneous audiovisual materials, -archival and  shot ad hoc with observational style- generating a short circuit among the  past and the present.

SHARDS
Henrik Dahlbring, SE, 12min.
After their father's suicide attempt, siblings Maja and Maximilian meet up to  clean their father's house before his discharge from the hospital.
