Sisters Nora and Agnese are reunited with their estranged father, the charismatic Gustav, a once-prominent director who offers theater actress Nora a role in his new film, with which he hopes to bring fame. When Nora refuses, she soon learns that the role has been given to an aspiring young Hollywood actress. The sisters must not only navigate their complicated relationship with their father, but also deal with an American star caught in the middle of a complicated family relationship.
